NEW YORK: The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Saturday condemned the terrorists attacks on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi and the suicide attack in lower Orakzai district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) that killed 33 people on Friday.
According to details, the council members appreciated and lauded the timely response by Pakistani law enforcement authorities.
The members also highlighted the fact that “terrorism in all its forms and manifestations constituted” one of the most serious threats to international peace and security.
“Any acts of terrorism are criminal and unjustifiable, regardless of their motivation, wherever, whenever and by whomsoever committed,” they further added.
Moreover, the council members called upon all UN Member States to cooperate actively with the Government of Pakistan and all other relevant authorities in that regard.

On November 23, Pakistani security forces prevented an terrorist attack on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi’s Clifton Block-4 area.
Four people died including two policemen during the incident. Three terrorists were also killed in the operation.
In lower Orakzai, a blast targeting a local market which left 33 dead and at least 56 injured on Friday.
