KHYBER AGENCY: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Landi Kotal chapter elected its new cabinet for the year of 2018 on Sunday.
According to a notification issued by Iqbal Afridi, the PTI Khyber Agency president, Haji Zarbullah Shinwari was elected as president and Muhammad Hakim Afridi was chosen as general sectary for the year of 2018.
Other cabinet members are: Sajjad Ali senior-vice president, Shah Hussain, vice president, and Azmat Ali Shinwari the press secretary.
Similarly, Jamshed Ali and Ravaid Afridi were selected as finance and joint secretary respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, President Haji Zarbullah Shinwari said that in priority initiatives, they would unite all workers of PTI and he along with his cabinet members would strive hard to take into confidence the volunteers of the party while executing any program for the best interest of the party.
He stressed upon the workers to shun intra-party differences and roll up their slaves to emerge victorious in the constituency, NA-45 in the up-coming election.
Cricket match:
FATA Directorate of Education, in coordination of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and Sarhad Rural Development Programme (SRSP), conducted a friendly cricket match at the Govt Sheed Abdul Azam High School, Jamrud.
FATA Education Director Hashim Khan Afridi was the chief guest on the occasion.
Deputy directors Safirrullah, Azad Khan, additional director Hanifur Rehman, Agency Education Officer(AEO) Khyber Agency, Jadoon Wazir, a large number of teachers and sport lovers were among who witnessed the activity.
Khyber Baryali team comprised officials of Directorate of Education, while Khyber Nangyali team included principals, headmasters and teachers of various schools of Khyber Agency.
Batting first, Khyber Baryali scored 75 runs in 10 overs. Chasing the target, the Nangyali Eleven got 69 runs in 10 overs and thus the former won the game. “The purpose of the activity is to entertain the teachers’ community and to provide them recreation facilities,” Director Education Hashim Khan Afridi said.
At the end, the chief guest awarded trophies and prizes to the wining team and shining players.
